Textilforschungsinstitut Thüringen-Vogtland e.V. - TITV Greiz

Dipl. Ing. (FH) Kay Ullrich, born 1984 in Zwickau, Saxony, studied Physical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, which he completed with a diploma. At TITV Greiz, he began his industry-oriented research career in 2009 as a research assistant in the Smart Textiles group. Since 2013, he has been Deputy Head of Research & Development for Smart Textiles at TITV Greiz, where he is primarily responsible for the electronic integration of functions into textile materials and the automation of developed manufacturing and processing technologies.
Another of his fields of work is the textile and electronic testing of smart textiles, which he promotes on a European level and for which he develops new processes and equipment.
Mr. Kay Ullrich has extensive knowledge in process control, machine technology, computer science, electronics and testing methods.
